Terms of Service

Carfeine, Inc operates getcarfeinated.com ("the Service"), which performs public scans of dealer websites and publishes the resulting scores and evidence.

The Service is free to use. Some downstream features — claim, re-VIN, agent-readiness — are operated on carfeine.com under a separate set of terms.

You may submit URLs you reasonably believe to be public dealer websites. You may not submit URLs to scan as part of a denial-of-service attack, brute-force probing, or any activity intended to harm a third-party site.

You may not scrape the directory, the API, or the scan results in volume except through documented endpoints with the rate limits we publish.

You may not impersonate another rooftop in a claim. Verification is required for a reason.

Scan scores describe the public state of a website at a point in time. The score is our opinion based on a published methodology. It is not a credit rating, an SEO grade, or a predictor of business outcomes.

If you believe a scan is materially wrong — bad data, wrong rooftop, unreachable site — you can flag it on the rooftop's directory page or email disputes@carfeine.com. We re-run scans on request once per 30 days.

We retain editorial discretion over the scoring methodology and may publish updates to it. Updates are versioned (see /how-scoring-works).

Claiming a rooftop requires that you control the domain in question, demonstrated via DNS, meta tag, or email at the registered domain.

A successful claim grants you the ability to attach a verified contact, respond to disputes, and unlock the carfeine.com handoff. It does not grant you the ability to alter scores.

The Service is provided AS IS. We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date. We make no warranty that scans will run on demand, that the methodology will not change, or that the published scores will be free of error.

Carfeine's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the use of the Service is capped at $100. This is consistent with the Service being free.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
